Inkaroom is operated by Inkaroom Ltd (company number 17471697), registered in England and Wales at Rear Office, Merrydale Works, Linford Road, Grays RM16 4LQ, United Kingdom. Contact: support@inkaroom.com. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer you may bring a claim in the courts of England and Wales, or of Scotland or Northern Ireland if you live there.
Inkaroom is a surveying tool. It measures and records what you point it at. The output is a working document you are responsible for checking.
Scans and measurements are produced by the phone's sensors and are approximate. You are responsible for verifying anything you rely on, particularly figures that feed an EPC, a heat-loss calculation, a cooling-load estimate or any certificate you issue. We do not warrant accuracy for any particular purpose.
The surveys, plans, photos and reports you produce belong to you. We claim no rights over them.
You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for what is done under your account. One account is for one person; Team plans give each person their own seat.
Web plans are billed by Inkaroom Ltd through Stripe. Prices include VAT and are shown before you buy. Every web plan starts with a 14-day free trial; no payment is taken until it ends, and you can cancel during the trial at no cost. After that, plans renew monthly until cancelled in your Inkaroom portal, and you keep the plan until the end of the period you have paid for. Trials are limited to one per person or company; a second trial on a new account may be withdrawn. We may change prices; we will email you at least 30 days before a change takes effect and you may cancel before then.
Your right to cancel. If you buy as a consumer, you have the right to cancel within 14 days of subscribing without giving a reason: email hello@inkaroom.com or use Cancel in your portal. Because the service starts straight away with your agreement, if you cancel after the free trial has ended we refund the amount paid less a proportionate charge for the days used. If you buy as a business, this cancellation right does not apply, but you can still stop the renewal at any time.
In-app plans and add-ons are auto-renewable subscriptions billed through your Apple Account. Payment is charged at confirmation of purchase and the subscription renews automatically every month at the price shown in the App Store until cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions. No free trial is offered on Apple purchases. Refunds are requested from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com under Apple's terms; we cannot issue them ourselves. Apple's Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement (apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula) applies to the app in addition to these terms, and Apple is not responsible for the app or for support.
A project is one property and is spent when it is created. Unused projects roll over to the next month while your plan is active. If you run out, extra projects are added automatically at the price shown on your plan, or you can upgrade. Add-on modules follow the plan they are attached to and end with it. Plans bought on inkaroom.com are honoured in the app and on the portal.
Every account has a referral code. When a friend you invite subscribes to any paid plan — in the app or on inkaroom.com — you receive one month of Surveyor (15 projects) free; if you already have a paid plan you receive 15 extra projects instead. There is no limit, and months queue one after another. The reward is given after the friend's first payment, not during a free trial, and is withdrawn if that payment is refunded or cancelled during the 14-day cooling-off period and the reward has not been used. The friend receives no extra reward. The two free projects on every new account are not a subscription and do not earn a reward. Rewards have no cash value and cannot be transferred.
One tree is planted through Tree-Nation for each completed heat-pump or solar job recorded in the portal, in the company's name. UK-option trees are planted in the winter season. Trees have no cash value and the promise may be changed or withdrawn with notice.
You may give company administrators access to your jobs and reports through a Team plan, and you may connect your account to Swiftcroft. You control those links and can revoke them in Settings. Company administrators are responsible for their team's use of the service.
We aim to keep it working but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. Your work is stored on your device first, so the app keeps working with no signal and backs up when you have one.
Your work is backed up to your account automatically, and we take that seriously — but no backup is infallible. Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose, and check the backup line in Settings before wiping or replacing a phone.
You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time: Settings → Help & support → Delete my account. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms or does not pay, with notice where reasonable. On closure your data is handled as described in the Privacy policy: content deleted immediately, login purged after 30 days.
Inkaroom records what you measure and photograph and lays it out for you. The survey, the judgement and any certificate, calculation or lodgement remain yours or your accreditation scheme's — Inkaroom is not an accredited EPC scheme, is not MCS certified, and its figures are not a substitute for a qualified professional's own assessment. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer, or our liability for death, personal injury, fraud or anything that cannot be excluded by law. If a digital service we supply is faulty, consumers are entitled to a repair, replacement or price reduction under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Use the app for lawful surveying of properties you are entitled to survey. You must have the occupier's permission to photograph inside a property and to record tenant details and signatures, and you are the data controller for that information. Don't upload data you have no right to process, attempt to break into other accounts, scrape the service, or resell it.
We may update these terms; material changes are shown in the app before they take effect. This version: 8 October 2026.
